Hello Friends!
The purpose of this site is to provide a resource to create and support a unified community of conscious holistic practitioners in the St. Croix Valley area of Minnesota and Wisconsin. This site is also for the general public who may be looking for holistic practitioners in the area.
There are many wonderful local people providing services for natural healing and wellness. The list of practitioners continues to grow. Creating connections and collaborations to support each other and share resources and ideas about wellness enhances all our lives.
Holistic practitioners believe the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of life are all interconnected and equally important when addressing ways to achieve and maintain wellness.
As this site continues to grow, it will become an increasingly valuable referral resource for all.
We are all ONE sharing in the beauty and grace of UNITY.

Living in the Sweetness of Your Space
Our Featured Topic: Feng Shui & Sacred Sace
By Tom Guyette | Published: March 1, 2010
Those of you who are sensitive know that many things can affect the feeling of the space in which you live and work. Each item you own has an energy connection to you and is either supporting your progress or holding you back. Energetic clutter (too much stuff and a messy place) draws you out of clarity, keeping you from being present here and now. As you expend energy to ignore the clutter, you become more unconscious.
Other underlying energetic conditions also have an impact. Homes may contain residual influences from long illnesses, death, divorce, family discord, abuse, financial difficulties, robbery, traumatic events and more. Ley lines, power lines, TV and radio towers, ghosts, and unacknowledged energies in the earth may affect you. Continue reading Living in the Sweetness of Your Space

‘It’s actually very Old-Age’
Local therapist aims to reunite mind and body

STILLWATER - Sure, Joni Polehna talks about “emotional components” and “energy meridians.” But contrary to what you might think, she says, there’s nothing New Age about her work.
“It’s actually very ‘Old Age,’” said the recreational mental-health therapist, going on to explain how a 17th-century power struggle between the pope and the king of France led to an arbitrary separation of body, mind and spirit into different purviews. “Western medicine is a product of that part of Europe, and a product of that split, and we’ve kind of been trying to get back together ever since.” Continue reading It’s Actually Very Old Age
Wow! There’s a line up of powerful energies coming in tomorrow at 1:22 central time….eclipses and full moons add a punch to the energies that affect us. See www.starpriestess.com for detailed explanations.
And say “goodbye” to 2009 while releasing anything that is a pattern holding imbalance in your life. We are powerful beings capable of living perfectly balanced lives while manifesting our dreams and all our needs. It is time to remember who we are and align with our inner knowings and our truths.
January, 2010 ushers in the year for “new beginnings”! Set your intentions for love, peace, good health and prosperity for yourself and everyone on the planet. Hold your intentions in your heart everyday. Align your thoughts with these powerful intentions and they will become so.
Many blessings and light,
Peg
 St. Croix River, Osceola, WI
Yesterday, Mother’s Day, was a perfect day to connect with our beautiful St. Croix River. The day was cold and the number of people out and about was low. As I noticed the reflection of the trees and the spring growth around me, I was amazed at how much of it was being reflected in the calm water. And then recalled “everything is a reflection”; the inner and the outer, the people we encounter, the lessons we attract and the beauty around us. Our lives hold so much creative potential for reflecting and expressing the beauty and grace which surrounds us at all times. Thank you Earth Mother for holding us in your arms.

Clearing Our Relationship with Money
a message from Patricia Diane Cota-Robles
(posted 15 April, 2009)
In the beginning, our Father-Mother God gave us everything we needed to easily sustain our physical bodies during our Earthly sojourn. We were given the radiance of the Sun, fresh air, water, food and materials from which to build shelters and make clothing for ourselves. The Divine Intent was for our physical needs to be taken care of so that we could focus on using our gift of free will and our creative faculties of thought and feeling to learn to cocreate the patterns of perfection from the Causal Body of God in the physical plane.
It was never the Divine Plan that we struggle from morning until night in mundane jobs just to put food on the table and supply the needs of our physical bodies. That, in fact, is a gross distortion of the original Divine Plan for this planet, and it is a cumbersome distraction from our purpose and reason for being in this school of learning. Healing the Abandonment Abyss — Part II
By CC Treadway
If you would like to read Part 1 of this series please click here: Healing the Abandonment Abyss — Part I.
In the last article I went into the importance of dealing with the pain of abandonment. In this article I will go into more detail with the chakra system of the healing process.
The most important thing about healing abandonment is that you have to admit you have a problem. Many people are defending against this pain so much that they cannot even get to it. But if you continually feel empty, like you need to fill a void with something, you have an abandonment wound. An abandonment wound can lead you to substance abuse, to emotional detachment, inability to commit in relationship or over-dependence on another to give meaning to your own life. We made it through a very long and sometimes trying Winter. All the more reason to celebrate Spring!
While listening to a new meditation CD, I drove North on the first day of Spring from Somerset to Osceola, through St. Croix Falls and into Taylor’s Falls. Water was rushing everywhere and was charged with energy! People were happy and smiling! We were glad to be enjoying the beauty and the power of the river….the movement and sound and shifting action from ice to water. Yes! And I know of no better way to find peace and tranquility than by driving the circle tour of the St. Croix River through the Valley. After stopping in Taylor’s Falls at Coffee Talk, I drove through Marine on the St. Croix. Although most businessess were closed, I was pleasently greeted by an eagle circling it’s nest high in a White Pine. I continued driving to Stillwater, which was booming with people enjoying the day.
We are so blessed to be living with the healing beauty of mother nature in our back yard!
I want to pass this information on to anyone out there that is thinking about creating a new website, whether they want one for the first time or are tired of the way the old one looks and want to be able to make changes on their own. This site is actually a WordPress website or blogging site as some might categorize it. At www.wordpress.org you can find tons of information. There is another site, www.wordpress.com which offers a free blog site, but doesn’t come with the bells and whistles that the website version offers. Check out both. I found out about this from my geek friend, Suzanne Ahjira. I know her from classes at Lightsmith. She is both a psychic and a geek…..www.ahjira.com. Thanks to her, many holistic practitioners are now learning wordpress and creating their own sites. With this technology we can integrate our own energy and intention into the site. It can now be flexible, interactive and fluid, just like the flow of the new field. You can do the same.
My host is at www.DreamHost.com. They are green and that is a good thing. I believe in supporting any one or organization trying to make the world a better place. DreamHost offers one domain name free. With setup help from my friend Suzanne, I have this site up and I have been playing with it ever since. I’m learning about plugins and widgets, upbeat names for extra features, and have been trying them out.
Connecting the Valley is for you, practitioners in the St. Croix Valley, and if you want more information about this, send me a note by email or comment below……

I love the mornings although lately it has been hard to get up and be outside. I have been engrossed in creating this website and have spent much time up late as a result. Thanks to a friend of mine, Suzanne Ahjira, I am learning how to create this site, Connecting the Valley, and I’m having fun doing it. There are endless possibilities for how this will look; and the beauty of it is that I can change it every day if I want!!!! A creative fix!!! I also love to take pictures of nature and am usually in total awe of what I can capture here on the rolling hills of Somerset.
I wish I had a camera that could capture the millions of stars available to my eye from this place. Since it is darker here, without the city lights, and being on a hill, the skies are enormous and wondrous. The beauty brings me to tears. I want to share this picture I took recently while the sun was coming up and the conditions were right. Enjoy!
